Adoptive parents
ASFC provides a range of support services both pre and post adoption. Adoption is not a one off event, the effects are felt life long and adoptees and families need support not only in the beginning transitioning as a new family but as the family grows. Members are there for each other throughout.
As a not for profit, volunteer driven organisation, the income generated from our membership fees helps us to offset the cost of our events and support services. We strive to keep the annual fee as low as possible so it is accessible to all.
Membership is open to prospective parents in the process, local and inter-country and expat adoptive families, extended families (e.g. grandparents) and adult adoptees. Our membership fee is currently $75 per year or $180 for three years per family. Membership is for a calendar year.
Becoming a member is easy - please download and complete the Membership Application Form and email it to [email protected] (please note 'membership' in the subject line) and we'll get in touch with you to complete the process.
Members enjoy access to:
o Biannual ASFC Camp*
o Lunar New Year event*
o Harmony Day catch up
o FunKidz school holiday catch ups
o Sundowners for family catch ups
o Wine and cheese and afternoon tea parent catch ups
o Christmas party
* Note that these events are subsidised by ASFC but there is a cost to cover accommodation and food
